MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS)

SAJC Student Assistance Fund (SAJC School-Based FAS)

Eligibility

• Singapore Citizens only.

• Singapore Citizens who do not qualify for MOE FAS;
• Permanent Residents and foreign students may apply but approval is on a case-by-case basis.

Income Criteria

• Family’s gross household income (GHI) of $4,000 per month or below; or
• Family’s per capita income (PCI) of $1000 per month or below.
PCI = Total gross household income / No. of household members

• Family’s gross household income (GHI) of $4,001 to $5,500 per month; or
• Family’s per capita income (PCI) of $1,001 to $1,375 per month.

Benefits

From MOE:
• Full subsidy of school and miscellaneous fees;
• Bursary of $1,600 (inclusive of Transport allowance) per year;

From SAJC Board-of-Governors Fund:
• Students eligible for the Financial Assistance Scheme will also receive other subsidies which are not covered under MOE FAS.

From SAJC Board-of-Governors Fund:
Students eligible for SAJC School-Based FAS will receive subsidies on fees and other items from SAJC Board of Governors.

When to apply

• Anytime in the year as the need arises, e.g. sudden loss of job for breadwinner, death of breadwinner.

How to apply

For MOE FAS application:
• Parents are to submit an online application via https://go.gov.sg/moe-efas ↗ (opens in new tab).

For SAJC School-Based FAS application:
• Please approach the General Office for the application form.
• Submit the completed form with all relevant supporting documents to the General Office.
• The Teacher-in-charge will contact you thereafter.

Note:
• Parents with children in different schools need to submit only ONE application form for all school-going children to one of their schools.
• The school that receives the application form will inform parents of the outcome for all the children.
