Inspiring Teacher of English Award 2026
30 September 2026
Ms Wong Sui Lee (HOD/English) was awarded the Inspiring Teacher of English Award.
We are delighted to share that Ms Wong Sui Lee, Head of Department for English, has been honoured with the prestigious Inspiring Teacher of English Award 2026 (Leadership Category).
Presented on September 29 by the Speak Good English Movement and The Straits Times, with support from the Ministry of Education, the national award celebrates exemplary educators who cultivate a deep passion for the English language and inspire excellence in their school communities.
Under Ms Wong’s guidance, the General Paper department at our College actively encourages students to take ownership of their learning and stay curious about global affairs. Through creative initiatives, such as students transforming current news stories into interactive quizzes for their peers, she leads her team in helping Saints develop clear, authentic expression and empathetic listening skills.
This award is a fitting tribute to Ms Wong’s dedicated leadership, vision, and commitment to inspiring both her fellow teachers and her students.
Join us in celebrating Ms Wong on this wonderful achievement!
