Passion, Perseverance, and Class Pride: SAJC Sports Carnival Highlights Unity in Action
The SAJC campus grounds echoed with roaring cheers and vibrant class spirit as students gathered for the annual Sports Carnival. Beyond the scoreboard, the event served as a celebration of camaraderie, active participation, and the enduring strength of the Saint Andrew’s community.
Honouring Dedicated Service
The morning commenced with the Colours and Service Awards Prize Presentation, celebrating Saints who demonstrated exemplary character, service, and commitment to the college throughout the year. Their achievements set an inspiring tone for the day, grounding the upcoming athletic events in the values of leadership and humble contribution.
Adrenaline on the Track: The 10x200m Relay
The excitement escalated quickly as eight qualifying classes took to the track for the flagship 10x200m Inter-Class Relay. Represented by 25S10, 25S20, 26S07, 25S11, 26S10, 25A06, 25S21, and 26S05, the runners demonstrated exceptional grit and seamless handovers under intense pressure, supported by deafening cheers from their classmates in the stands.
Friendly Competition Across six Disciplines
Following the relay, the action shifted across campus for the Inter-Class Games. Participating in a broad mix of sports—Frisbee, Floorball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Handball, and Tchoukball—classes engaged in friendly yet earnest competition.
Adding to the day's warmth, several Civics Tutors and CTAs traded their markers for sports gear, joining their students on the courts to compete side-by-side.
Celebrating Effort and Unity
The morning concluded with a unified gathering for the Prize Presentation Ceremony, where College Principal Mr Tham and the Vice-Principals handed out awards to both the Inter-Class Game winners and Relay champions.
While trophies were handed out, every participating class walked away with a stronger bond—a testament to the fact that when Saints encourage, serve, and play together, we truly embody One Family Unbroken.
