Direct School Admission (DSA) - 2024 Intake
St Andrew's Junior College (SAJC) welcomes Sec 4 (or its equivalent) students who are currently studying in Singapore mainstream schools to apply under the Direct School Admission (DSA) for entry to the college in 2024.
Successful applicants will gain admission into SAJC in 2024 for their JC education as long as they meet the eligibility criteria set by MOE for the two-year Junior College course based on their GCE 'O' Level examination results.

We strongly encourage those with above average academic results and outstanding talent in the following CCAs to apply for admission. (Applications for other CCAs will not be considered.)

- Above average academic record in Secondary 3 Mid-Year & Final Exams

Concert Band | Preferably with a minimum 4 years of playing experience in Concert Band. Represented school in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Confident in playing solo pieces Experience in Internal school and external performances Preferably at least a Sectional Leader or exhibiting potential leadership Pass selection audition and interview |
Choir | Represented school in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Preferably at least a Sectional Leader Pass selection audition and interview. |
Chinese Orchestra | Represented school in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Achievement/Awards in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Preferably at least a Sectional Leader Pass selection audition and interview. |
English Drama | Preferably represented school in Singapore Youth Festival Drama Arts Presentation Have acting and/ or staging experiences outside the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Pass selection audition and interview. Candidates who have acting or crew experience in TV, video, film or professional theatre companies, such as Act 3, will also be considered. |
Guitar Ensemble | Preferably with a minimum 3 years of playing experience. Represented school in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Achievement/Awards in Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation Preferably at least a Sectional Leader Pass selection audition and interview. |

Eligibility & Criteria: 1. Relevant Subjects in the respective MT (CL/ML/TL) & Grade a) Applicants must meet at least one of the following MTL requirements: MT (L2) - A1 or A2 HMT - B3 or better b) Applicants who offered the following subjects may have added advantage: Humanities (SS, Literature in CL/ML/TL) - preferably B3 or better Literature in CL/ML/TL - preferably B4 or better Special Programme (Chinese/Malay)/Bahasa Indonesia - preferably B4 or better 2. School CCA relevant to the respective MT Language & Culture Applicants who have the following credits would have added advantage: Competitions - Awards & Achievements Enrichment activities - Participation & Involvement Events - Leadership & Coordination 3. Passion & Interest (External) relevant to the respective MT Language & Culture Applicants who have the following credits would have added advantage: Initiatives & Participation Commitment & Contribution Membership & Involvement in relevant Clubs or Societies Note: Applicants who are successfully accepted are expected to offer A-Level H2 Chinese/Malay/Tamil Language & Literature as one of their H2 subjects during the two years in SAJC. |
Interested applicants who do not meet the criteria may still apply based on their ability and potential.

Please complete the online application form and send by post or by hand the photocopies of the following documents:
a) Results Slips – Secondary 3 Mid-year (if any) & Final Exams, Sec 4 Mid-year Exams (if any)
b) CCA Records
c) Other supporting documents – certificates of musical exams, certificates of participation in international competitions, etc

Applicants are to ensure that they meet the following deadlines in order to be eligible for the exercise:
DSA Phase 1: 1 July 2023, 3 pm
DSA Phase 2: 5 Aug 2023, 3 pm
Incomplete application forms will not be considered.

Applicants who have submitted applications during Phase 1 but are not offered a place need not submit new applications for Phase 2 as all applications will automatically be considered for both phases.
Only successful applicants will be informed via email and/or phone.
Once you have accepted SAJC's DSA Offer, you will not be eligible to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for JC admission based on your GCE O-Level examination results.
You are also not allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the GCE O-Level examination results. You are expected to honour your commitment to the college and your chosen CCA for the duration of your studies in SAJC.
Students who do not fulfil their DSA commitment without valid reason may be required to transfer out to another school.
