Within the College, students navigated simulated disruptions, including a digital blackout scenario that encouraged greater face-to-face collaboration and calm problem-solving. Through the interactive “Project BLACKOUT!” role-plays, students assumed the roles of crisis responders, applying critical thinking and teamwork in realistic situations. These activities reinforced the importance of remaining composed and united in times of uncertainty.
Beyond the College, a group of students represented SAJC at the 59th War Memorial Service in Commemoration of the Civilian Victims of the Japanese Occupation and Total Defence, held at War Memorial Park. Organised by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the service was graced by Guest of Honour Desmond Lee, Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration.

The solemn ceremony provided students with the opportunity to pay tribute to the civilian victims of the Japanese Occupation and to reflect on the enduring significance of Total Defence in safeguarding Singapore’s future.
Through both commemoration and active participation, the day underscored an important message. Resilience is built through preparation. Unity strengthens communities. Empathy guides our response in moments of challenge. These values remain central to the character and spirit of the SAJC community.
Together, we stay ready. Together, we stay strong.
